ProCurve VPN Client Software allows mobile users to connect securely to their corporate LAN infrastructure through wireless ports via the Secure Access 700wl, and wired ports via the Internet and the Secure Router 7000dl. ProCurve VPN Client Software allows mobile users to stay connected longer, either while wirelessly roaming the corporate LAN or while working remotely and connecting securely through the Internet. Extending the LAN infrastructure enables users to respond to important e-mails and support the overall needs of the business as their time allows.

  • VPN capabilities: The ProCurve VPN Client secures communication for client-to-gateway connections by using the best encryption technology based on the latest industry-standard IPSec recommendations. The client is compatible with all Microsoft Windows operating systems, including XP, and any IPSec-compliant gateway such as the ProCurve Secure Access 700wl and ProCurve Secure Router 7000dl. The ProCurve VPN Client supports advanced interoperability protocols, including Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) and Extended Authentication Protocol (XAUTH), which supports RSA SecurID, RADIUS, and Secure Computing SafeWord PremierAccess. Additionally, the ProCurve VPN Client supports Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP), which interoperates with certificate authorities to support online certificate requests

    Authentication mechanisms: mechanisms for authentication include preshared keys and RSA Signatures.
