Printheads
Inkjet print cartridges contain between one and five different colours of ink and although there are three types of inkjet technology, they all work by tiny droplets of ink being squeezed out of the cartridge via a print head onto the page or media being printed on. For many printers, the printhead and ink cartridge are supplied as a single unit but some printer manufacturers supply printheads and ink tanks separately. Such printer models can save you money since you aren’t paying for a new printhead every time an ink cartridge runs out. High yield cartridges are available for some printers which can also lower your printing costs.
