The TS-231P's enhanced hardware-based encryption and decryption engine provides fast transfer speeds with AES 256-bit full NAS volume encryption, boosting system performance and security, while ensuring the safety of sensitive personal data, stored in the NAS. When used with a compatible 802.11ac or dual-band USB Wi-Fi adapter, the TS-231P becomes an ideal media center with remarkably high speeds for transferring a large amount of files and streaming bandwidth-intensive multimedia. - High efficiency with dual LAN support

The TS-231P features an energy-efficient processor, that maintains high performance in system operations and is suitable for an always-online personal cloud without running up a high electricity bill. Additional energy-saving features combine hard disk standby, scheduled power on/off, and Wake on LAN.
